Okanagan Lavender & Herb Farm Newsletter - tips and tricks

As producers of lavender essential oil, we always try to give our customers easy tips on how to incorporate the oils into everyday life.
The lavender oil we produce from our angustifolia lavenders (Maillette, English and our house blend) can be used in aromatherapy, reduce skin inflammation or in the kitchen.
Kitchen: Lavender steamed milk - add it to hot chocolate, Earl Grey or our own Winter Warmer Tea. Place 250mL/1 cup of milk in your steamer, add 1 tiny drop of lavender essential oil. Steam until frothy; serve a dollop on your hot drink - just a subtle lavender flavour... delicious!
Skin: To make your unscented cream/lotion a little luxurious, place a dollop into you hand, add one drop of lavender essential oil, rub together and apply.
Bath: Fill you tub with water, add 2 cups Epsom salts and 3-5 drops lavender essential oil. Soak for 20 minutes.... longer if you were shovelling snow!
Sleep: Before bed, place a teaspoon of sunflower oil in your hand and add 1-3 drops of lavender essential oil. Massage into the soles of your feet and sleep well!
