Tasso Leventis Professorship of Biodiversity
The Tasso Leventis Professorship of Biodiversity is endowed by a
generous benefaction from the Tasso Leventis Conservation Foundation; it
is based in the Department of Zoology in association with Merton
College, Oxford. The Professor will provide leadership in research and
teaching in biodiversity and in the application of research findings to
the problems which face ecologists, policymakers and humankind in
general. The successful candidate will have a strong international
reputation for research in biodiversity or conservation biology, and the
ability to build, maintain and manage a substantial research team.
Start date: 1 January 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.
