Immediately following will be the UCL Annual Frank Fish Memorial Lecture (separate registration required). Join us at University College London (UCL) for an afternoon of exploring the use of medical plants and natural products past and present through lectures and poster sessions. Invited speakers include Rui Fang from the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Francesca Scotti from the UCL School of Pharmacy, and Ranee Paresh, Curator of Botany at the British Natural History Museum. POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES We invite poster abstracts on both completed research and research in progress on topics related to the interface between food, medicine, and culture to the present day. This includes but is not limited to the history of science, medicine, and technology; economic history; anthropology; sociology; Chinese and other Asian studies; food and nutrition studies; pharmacy, phytochemistry, and pharmacognosy; museum and conservation studies; cultural studies; medical humanities; and biomedical and natural science research. Interdisciplinary poster abstracts are particularly encouraged. If you would like to present a poster at the symposium, please send us an abstract (by 30 September 2018. Include a full list of contributing authors and the format (landscape or portrait) and size (A0-A3) of your poster. See you there!
