Gallery of Northwest Coast Masterworks

Thursday, June 227-10 pm. Free admission.

Join us to celebrate the grand opening of our groundbreaking new gallery dedicated to Indigenous art of the Northwest Coast.

One of the most elegant and innovative exhibition spaces of its kind, the gallery pairs cutting-edge technology with an inviting and natural setting that reflects the surrounding environment.

The inaugural exhibition, In a Different Light: Reflecting on Northwest Coast Art, presents over 110 historical Indigenous artworks through the eyes of contemporary First Nations artists and community members. You will see these objects as more than art — as teachers, belongings, even legal documents.

The opening will celebrate this continuation from past to present with an evening of contemporary Indigenous performances from DJ Kookum, contemporary cellist Cris Derksen, DJ O Show and audio/visual team See Monsters.

Witness live visuals from painter Levi Nelson and graffiti artist Larissa Healey (a.k.a. Gurl Twenty Three), before grabbing a spray can yourself and painting on our digital graffiti wall.

No RSVP required. Parking is just $2 after 5 pm with coupon code NWEST.
