Sustainable Electricity Generation at the Coastal Areas and the Islands of Bangladesh Using Biomass Resource

Article in IOSR Journal of Applied Physics · May 2017 1st Md Mehedi Hasan 2nd Md. Nasfikur R. Khan Newcastle University 3rd Md. Kamrul Alam Khan 4th Md. Ziaul Islam Abstract The crisis of electricity is one of the major problems in the world because of rapid developments and urbanizations. Still lots of people are out of a glance of electricity in many countries. The people at the island are at the worst condition in this case, especially at the developing countries like Bangladesh. Connecting them with the national grid is still very inefficient and impossible in some cases. The conditions at some coastal areas are also not dissimilar. They still depend on the traditional sources like wood and kerosene in lightening their houses. Tidal, wave and solar energy extractors are quite expansive and not so easy to operate and maintain for most of the people living there. Biomass source can be very effective in those cases. The generation of electricity using the leaf of Bryophyllum pinnatum can meet their small demand of electricity in those areas Sustainable Electricity Generation at the Coastal Areas and the Islands of Bangladesh Using Biomass Resource.
