We are now accepting submissions for issue #3 of/Dark Matter: Women Witnessing.Dark Matter/'s mission is linguistic and cultural restoration in an age of massive species extinction and ecological disaster.

Beginning with this issue, /Dark Matter/ will include a new section, /After-Words/, where writers offer responses to books, films, artwork, cultural events---not necessarily current ones---that they feel make an important contribution to our mission. Responses can be creative---the work may serve as a springboard for the writer's own reflections--- and they can be as brief or as long as they need to be, within our 5,000- word limit.
Issue #3 will also include a special section on devotion. The edge we are on as a species is inspiring many forms of devotion, both ancient and new.We want to hear about devotional and/or ceremonial practices---both within and outside existing spiritual and artistic traditions---that have arisen in response to the increasing violence and vapidness of human civilization and the ongoing desecration of the earth.We would also like to hear from women whose devotion to the earth has led them to break with particular social, religious, academic or cultural institutions and/or traditions.
