OTTAWA
– The Canadian Bar Association (CBA) will appear before the Standing
Committee on Public Safety and National Security to offer its views on
Bill C-51, Anti-Terrorism Act 2015.
“The
CBA supports measures to improve public safety that are necessary,
proportionate and accompanied by adequate safeguards against abuse,”
says the CBA submission.

Gottardi of Vancouver, Chair of the CBA’s National Criminal Justice

Immigration Law Section, will present on behalf of the Association.
