THANK YOU BC! Incredibly, you raised $350,000 in 2014 to support First Nations legal challenges against Northern Gateway. This paid for case prep and research for 6 Nations. But Enbr

Youth aren't just the future

Sierra Club BC youth Pull Together for environmental justice

In our world, we often say that youth are the future. And they most certainly are. But youth are also leading change in our communities right now. The youth who are part of Sierra Club BC's Youth Environmental Leadership Program (YELP) are a case in point. Every year, the cohort receives training in environmental leadership and mentorship as they create an action project related to environmental justice.
This year, as part of the Pull Together campaign, YELP youth are hosting a concert to raise funds for First Nations' legal challenges to the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline. Join them May 22nd, 2015 @ the Spiral Cafe from 7-9 pm.

Multiple lawsuits are currently in the courts. They attack the Joint Review Panel’s recommendations and Federal Cabinet’s decision to approve it.

Seven of these nations are working with Pull Together:

This campaign was born in BC’s north, where the most directly impacted communities are located. But it quickly spread across the whole province: people are raising money with bottle drives, concerts, dinners, and “friend-raising” online:

THANK YOU!

This paid for critical case prep and research. But Enbridge is still fighting to win. With a seventh nation now on board and cases set for the summer, we need to raise an additional $250,000 for court time.
