The NC3Rs is the UK's national organisation which leads the
discovery and application of new technologies and approaches to replace,
reduce and refine the use of animals for scientific purposes (the 3Rs).
Applying the 3Rs in research can help deliver better science.
Are you a postdoctoral researcher who is ready to launch your independent research career? Our David Sainsbury Fellowship Scheme supports the training and development of future leaders looking to take the next step in their careers. We're looking to push the boundaries of how research is conducted and pioneer better science and advancements in the 3Rs.
Award: Five awards are available, with funding at a fixed value of £195K over three years.
Eligibility:
· Applications are invited from exceptional early-career researchers with up to five years postdoctoral research experience.
· Proposals relevant to any area of medical, biological or veterinary research or safety testing will be considered.
Timeline: Awards will be made in December 2015, and can be activated up to 12 months after the award is finalised.
Deadlines:
· Outline stage: 16:00 GMT, 15 May 2015
· Full proposal: 16:00 GMT, 17 June 2015
