Lavender and Rose Petal Cupcakes

Looking for something lovely and new to try for dessert? Lavender and Rose Petal Cupcakes will take you back to the garden this winter and will remind you of those sweet summer days and warm up any table.
500ml/2 cups sifted flour
15ml/1 tbsp baking powder
5ml/1 tsp salt
60ml/ ¼ cup butter, softened
5ml/ 1tsp lavender buds
15ml/ 1 tbsp rose petals
250ml/1 cup milk
15ml/1 tbsp lemon juice
125ml/ ½ cup plain yogurt, no gelatin
250ml/1 cup sugar
5ml/ 1 tsp vanilla Oven 375°F
Place flour, baking powder & salt into a small bowl & mix well, setting aside.
In a small bowl blend lavender & rose petals into softened butter & mix well then let sit for 5 minutes before adding sugar & vanilla.
Into a large bowl pour milk & add lemon juice, stir and let sit for 5 minutes. Then add yogurt, mixing well.
Next transfer the butter mixture into the bowl with the milk mixture & stir well.
Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients & mix well.
Fill the cups in 2 small muffin pans 2/3 full & bake at 375°F for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
Ice with your favourite frosting or leave plain to enjoy!
