Cyberattack coincidence

Ever since the cyberattack on Canadian Government servers earlier this week Firefox has been allowing ads through the Adblocker although the same Adblocker still works on Chrome. I reset Firefox twice and lost my bookmarks in the process. I think I may have updated Firefox on the same day that the cyberattack was taking place. Bluhell Firewall, which I installed yesterday, is apparently blaming a website attached to the Guardian UK. It is true that for the past couple of weeks the Guardian has been putting up a popup complaining about my adblocker. They allow me access to their website without the usual 10 free articles of the other newspapers. Firefox please fix your issues.
