INTRODUCTION TO THE PRACTICE OF AMERICAN MEDICINE | IPAM
IPAM OVERVIEW

The IPAM course is designed to prepare you for a career in the American Health system. The focus is on developing your Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) competencies, test-taking and interview skills, and your understanding of how to develop a successful career trajectory. Drawing on the expertise of Harvard Medical School faculty directly involved in educating medical trainees, the course will provide unique insights into the entire process of residency application through lectures, panel discussions and hands-on workshop sessions.

IPAM COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the IPAM, attendees will be able to:
  • Develop an understanding of the American Health system.
  • Further develop the competencies required by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Understand how to plan for a career in medicine in the United States.
