Assistant or Associate Professor – Women, Gender, and Science
The Psychology Department and the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seek a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise in women, gender, and science to begin August 2017. Applicants would hold a joint appointment with 0.40 FTE in Women’s and Gender Studies and 0.60 FTE and tenure home in the Psychology Department. Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent in psychology or a related field and a record of achievement in scholarship. Potential areas of interest include but are not limited to gender biases and the STEM fields; gender and emotion; gender, violence, and trauma; gender and developmental processes; gender, psychology and law; transgender; psychology and sexuality; minority behavioral and health disparities; intersectionality. Applicants who can contribute to UNL’s growing collaborative initiatives, including the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior (CB3), the Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Consortium, the Minority Health Disparities Initiative, and/or the Humanities in Medicine program are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include maintaining an active program of research, including pursuit of external funding, as well as the potential to contribute to the teaching and engagement missions of both units. The scholar would teach Women, Gender, and Science for WGS and help to lead the program’s emphasis in this area.
