The ISE seeks expressions of interest for two Executive Board positions: President-Elect/Vice President (a 2-year term as VP followed by a 2-year term as President), and Treasurer (4-year term)

Dear ISE Members & Friends,

The ISE seeks expressions of interest for two Executive Board positions: President-Elect/Vice President (a 2-year term as VP followed by a 2-year term as President), and Treasurer (4-year term). Successful candidates are expected to participate in regular Board meetings and work closely with ISE staff to provide direction on the daily operations of the Society and business items addressed at the Congress.

All ISE Board members commit, as volunteers and without remuneration, to a strong consultative role in shaping the direction and continued success of the ISE in its commitment to achieving a greater understanding of the complex relationships that exist within and between human societies and their environment and its Indigenous, local and traditional communities. Executive Board roles in particular, which carry 4-year terms, provide stability and continuity for the Society over time.

If you are interested in serving in one of these roles, please submit a brief expression of interest outlining your relevant experience, areas of expertise, and anticipated contributions to admin@ethnobiology.net. Inclusion of a CV and/or photo is optional but also helpful. Please also feel free to reach out to me with any questions. The positions will remain open until filled.

Warm regards,

Jessica Miller
