Job description
The
Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS) is looking for a
postdoctoral researcher or junior assistant professor in the field of
environmental epidemiology. The research will focus on evaluating
potential health effects from residential exposure to pesticides.
Embedded in a large national study, a large amount of data regarding
pesticide exposure and health data are currently being collected. In
particular, pesticides have been associated with a range of health
effects in pesticide applicators, the risks from environmental exposures
of people living close to treated fields, however, remains unclear. The
project is performed in collaboration with the National Institute of
Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). The successful candidate will
investigate association between pesticide exposures and health effects
such as birth outcomes, adult mortality as well as self-reported health
and well-being.
The project is a collaboration between the environmental epidemiology division of the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS), and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
