Tenure-Track position in Environmental Science and Society at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 

The College of Letters and Sciences at the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track Assistant
Professor appointment in Environmental Science and Society.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. is required in Biology, Environmental Science, or related
field. ABD candidates nearing completion will be considered. Successful
candidates must demonstrate their potential to be outstanding teachers,
productive scholars, and active contributors of professional,
university and community service. Preference will be given to candidates
who have demonstrated success in working with diverse populations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
College of Letters and Sciences seeks applicants for the position of
Environmental Science and Society. Candidates must be able to teach
introductory and/or advanced biology and environmental science. In
addition, candidates should be able to contribute to one or more related
fields in the social sciences or humanities that considers the
relationship between society and the environment. This may include
teaching courses in Women's and Gender Studies, Sociology, or
Anthropology, among others. Engagement of undergraduate students in
research, individual student advising, and the pursuit of extramural
research funding is expected.
